What is Canesten Thrush Duo?
Canesten Thrush Duo is an oral capsule and external cream used to treat thrush. Thrush can cause a lot of discomfort with soreness, itching, and pain. Canesten Thrush Duo is a convenient and easy way to both calm external symptoms and clear the infection. This combination of an oral fluconazole capsule and clotrimazole cream works by killing the fungus that causes thrush, relieving symptoms that affect the genitals.
Canesten Thrush Duo is available over the counter without a prescription. You can also buy it from us at Instant eCare, following a brief online consultation.
For more information, consult the patient information leaflet.
How it works
Fluconazole works from within, to clear the thrush infection by killing the thrush fungus, while the double strength cream, containing clotrimazole, effectively treats external symptoms and calms the itch. Both antifungal substances belong to a group of medicines called azoles, that work to kill the Candida yeast that causes thrush infections.
